Watch ABCD 2 for it’s technical brilliance and jaw dropping dance sequences which is not an answer but a competition to our Hollywood brothers.

There are so many Hollywood movies when you watch them, we feel why can’t our film makers make something like this, then the question arises about the budget which is actually a big constraint, thanks to Hollywood studios stepping in for support with Indian cinema which is making things possible for the dreamers to come out with projects like ABCD 2, it serves as the sequel to the ABCD(2013). Story wise it has no connection but the soul of both the movies is DANCE.

Both the movies were directed by the ace Choreographer Remo D’Souza. Only a dancer can understand the true emotions of another dancer, which makes more sense that Remo directed the flick. The first part broke the stereotype and introduced a new genre in Indian cinema which literally focuses on dance and the dancers. The first movie didn’t have any big stars, it did star Prabhudeva who is in turn another legend when it comes to dance. This sequel starred Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor as the lead with Prabhudeva playing a vital role.

The main stars of the movie are the dance sequences, as this focuses on that more than the actors in it, the characters are given focus on their talent rather than the star value, which is the case in most of the movies. The movie opens with an amazing sequence which leaves you in awe, the choreography with neon stuff was something worth watching. ABCD 2 has a very simple and a cliched plot, but the dance sequences make it more interesting. It’s filled with performances back to back asking you for more and does not disappoint you at any point. The pre-interval sequence was a great one, the multiple team mash-up was astounding. Every sequence gets better and better making it hard to choose one as a favorite. But the climax sequence touches your heart, that was an amazing finale.

Varun Dhawan did a great job on acting and dance front, never knew he could move like this, amazing dancer who could carry off any style with ease. Shraddha Kapoor never looked so good, she’s toned to a great level and man she can move, deadly combination with looks and skill. Dharmesh a favorite with dancing community did a great job in making audience laugh as well as performed his heart out. These were well supported by Punit Pathak who played the deaf and mute in the movie took every one with surprise with his dancing skills. Lauren Gottlieb reprises the role in the sequel, and is seen in the second half giving everyone run for their money. Now finally the guru Prabhudeva, his intro sequence which made the crowd go crazy, was followed by a good performance in the movie.

For the first time 3D was delectable in a Indian movie which did give a great feel, that was well supported by profusely mixed sound in Dolby Atmos. These two factors made the movie watching experience to the next level. The cinematography by Vijay Arora was great, keeping up with the dancers pace would have been a task cope up with, editing by Manan Sagar was sharp. Music by Sachin-Jigar was great which was well mixed and composed keeping the sequences in mind.

Remo D’Souza did a great job on keeping the soul of the movie alive through out without deflecting from the subject. Don’t ponder on the screenplay and try to find faults to hate this flick. Watch ABCD 2 for it’s technical brilliance and jaw dropping dance sequences which is not an answer but a competition to our Hollywood brothers. As they say in the movie “We dance to express, not to impress” , so feel it and I’m sure you’ll enjoy every moment of it.
