Trivia:
The original screenplay of Bryan Woods and Scott Beck only contained one line of dialogue.

"A Quiet Place" was the second film Millicent Simmonds starred in. The first being the 2017 "Wonderstruck".

Due to a medication overdose, Millicent Simmonds has been deaf since her childhood.

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are married both in this film and in real life.

John Krasinski in an interview said, "I would love to direct Emily Blunt, but I'd rather act with Emily than direct. I don't know if I need that responsibility. She's so good and I'd be so scared to screw it up, but I'd be happy to be in scenes with her. That would be really fun. We're always up for doing something. It's just got to be the right thing. Give us a good one! I would love it!".

Bryan Woods and Scott Beck's screenplay was named one of the ten best scripts of the year on Tracking Board's 2017 Hit List, an annual list voted on by industry professionals.

20 tons of corn was purchased by the filmmakers and hired local farmers to grow it.

John Krasinski was encouraged by Emily Blunt to direct the film.

Partial filming took place in Little Falls, New York.

Emily Blunt read John Krasinski's draft of the script and asked Krasinski if she could be cast opposite him in the film which was agreed, and they were both were the cast in the starring roles of the film.

The inspiration for Millicent Simmonds's deaf character initially came from an earlier character sketch in Scott Beck and Bryan Woods' unfinished screenplay "The Piper," which was an adaptation of the Pied Piper of Hamelin.
