Throughout history, women have faced discrimination and struggle in many areas, being treated as second-class citizens, and in many cases they have fought for their rights as well.
So, when a new swimming pool opens up in Cairo district and announces that the pool will be open exclusively for women on Sundays it causes ripples to spread throughout the local community.
Three women, Shamiya, Azza, and Lula belong to different socio-economic strata and lead very different lives, but they face existential struggles like love, discontentment and grief. The events surrounding the swimming pool inspired these three women to assess their lives from a new perspective. How will the women of Cairo enjoy their Sundays in the pool?
